JBS ROCKS!!! Thanks to all who recommended JBS. My husband called and spoke with Travis and Chris at JBS. They were able to get us in quickly. I needed front and back brakes. Heading home from the Christmas holiday, up in the San Joaquin Valley, my brakes began to grind. They were able to salvage the rotors. The cost was VERY reasonable. Travis (the owner) is very accommodating, friendly, understanding and fair.  There have been times where I needed something done ASAP and he has been able to get me in and out, even though he is really busy. There have never been any surprises or upsells. My wife's '04 Ford Taurus was having problems starting- she was having to keep the starter going for 10-15 seconds before it would fire. One morning it wouldn't start, so I put it on my home changer and after a few hours when fully charged it worked fine- sort of- because she had to crank the starter for a long time - 10-15 seconds - to get it to start. I know how to work on cars, and I take care of my own old cars and race cars but I don't like working on new cars. I figured it was going to need new coils, fuel pump or something expensive. A few days later it was dead and wouldn't even jump start. Knowing it had an issue and it was probably more than I could diagnose I had been looking for a new place to get it repaired. Based on the good reviews on Yelp I decided on JBS Auto Service in Simi Valley. AAA took it over and dropped it off in the early evening and we left a note and keys in mailbox. First thing next AM, I get a call from Jerry. We discussed my car and he pointed out the fact that the battery was over 6 years old and wasn't really holding a charge. I asked him to put a battery in it so he quoted me a good price and I had him do it. - because I know you can't diagnose electrical issues with a low/dead batt. An hour or so later the phone rings. It's Jerry informing me that he thinks it's the starter and that even though the starter turns its not going fast enough. Jerry quoted me a very reasonable price so I had him do it. Another hour or so later Jerry calls me back and says it's fixed. I went in to fetch it and it was fixed just like new. Travis is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Both of my daughters have taken their cars to him, and they are happy with his services. He is honest about what needs to be done and/ his prices are also fair and reasonable. He really helped my husband out with his car regarding an A/C issue the previous mechanic wanted to charge us for a new compressor for over a $1,000. Jerry at JBS Auto is hands down a great mechanic! I had completely given up on my truck (as it has over 200,000 miles on it) and was thinking I was going to have to buy a new vehicle......especially since others had misdiagnosed it and told me I should part ways with it due to all the miles.
