My wife's '04 Ford Taurus was having problems starting- she was having to keep the starter going for 10-15 seconds before it would fire. One morning it wouldn't start, so I put it on my home changer and after a few hours when fully charged it worked fine- sort of- because she had to crank the starter for a long time - 10-15 seconds - to get it to start. I know how to work on cars, and I take care of my own old cars and race cars but I don't like working on new cars. I figured it was going to need new coils, fuel pump or something expensive. A few days later it was dead and wouldn't even jump start. Knowing it had an issue and it was probably more than I could diagnose I had been looking for a new place to get it repaired. Based on the good reviews on Yelp I decided on JBS Auto Service in Simi Valley. AAA took it over and dropped it off in the early evening and we left a note and keys in mailbox. First thing next AM, I get a call from Jerry. We discussed my car and he pointed out the fact that the battery was over 6 years old and wasn't really holding a charge. I asked him to put a battery in it so he quoted me a good price and I had him do it. - because I know you can't diagnose electrical issues with a low/dead batt. An hour or so later the phone rings. It's Jerry informing me that he thinks it's the starter and that even though the starter turns its not going fast enough. Jerry quoted me a very reasonable price so I had him do it. Another hour or so later Jerry calls me back and says it's fixed. I went in to fetch it and it was fixed just like new. I'm very happy to have found this folks and will use them next time I need auto repair or maintenance. - Guy K. (5 star review on Google)
